• Chairperson of the BOM and at least two independent assessors appointed by the Patron, after consultation with Chairperson.
• In Community National Schools: One nominee of the CE of the ETB, One Education Expert appointed by the ETB and one independent assessor appointed by the ETB.

Deputy Principal (open competition)

• Chairperson of the BOM, Principal Teacher and one independent assessor appointed by the Patron after consultation with Chairperson.
• In Community National Schools: One nominee of the CE of the ETB, School Principal and one independent assessor appointed by the ETB.
• Gender balance – at least one male and one female
